How much will a project cost?
I’m asked this question almost every week. The problem is there’s is no simple answer, as project costs vary depending on the details involved.
The most important thing to remember when starting a design project is to clearly define what you actually need.

As an aid to myself and my clients, I’ve come up with a few basic guidelines which help to figure out costs before I get elbow-deep in pixels and lines of CSS:
Web and Identity design Work
A
basic website would start at $100.
Logo and graphic design work is a little more complex to quote,
but $50 is a good estimate for a professional
logo design.
Print design work
Print
work covers anything from business cards, flyers and
posters to magazine ads, album covers and
T-shirts.
Design work for print is just as hard to quote as any other type of design work. This is because physical printing and logistical costs have to be considered.
Design for print starts at around $50 an hour depending on the complexity of the request.
And the rest…
Unfortunately
other design and development services such as eCommerce
solutions, SEO (Search Engine Optimisation), consultancy
and marketing are impossible to cost without knowing
the details involved.
